Abington police report a 29-year-old woman was found shot dead outside her home and have taken her 29-year-old husband into custody.
A man shot and killed his wife at their Abington home, police said.
Barbara Tassinari, 29, was dead when police arrived at the house shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday to investigate several reports of gunfire. Her husband, John Tassinari, also 29, was arrested at the house at 55 Pilgrim St.
Police said the couple fought inside and outside the house. It appeared this morning that the woman was shot in the driveway of the home.
Abington Police Chief David Majenski said that John Tassinari was issued a license to carry a firearm in 2004. Barbara Tassinari was shot in the head with a handgun, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.
Police said the couple had no history of trouble. The woman has two children but they were not at the house Tuesday night.
John Tassinari will be arraigned today in Brockton District Court on one count of murder.
