Roselin (Rozanne) Orr Yancey, 65 of Kyle, Texas passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside on August 20, 2018.
Roselin was born to the late James E. Orr and Virginia R. Orr on April 9, 1953 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Roselin graduated from Arkadelphia High School in 1971. She received a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Dietetics from Texas Tech University in 1975. She continued her education at Southwest Texas State University, from which she received her Master’s Degree in Health Professions in 1980.
Roselin worked for over 30 years as a Registered Dietitian. She worked numerous years for Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, Texas and the Covenant Health System in Lubbock, Texas before she retired.
Roselin was loved dearly by her family and loved spending time with them, especially her grandson. She was an avid sewer, quilter, and loved to read. Roselin loved country music, good food, and was a loyal Wheel of Fortune viewer for decades. She was patient, kind, and had a heart of gold.
She is survived by her daughter Rebekah Yancey-Brunton, son-in-law Jason Brunton, and grandson Jake Brunton of Kyle, Texas; Brother Frank Orr of Gadsden, Alabama; Brother Blake Orr of Corpus Christi, Texas; and 2 nieces, 3 nephews, several cousins, and many friends.
Friends and family are invited to attend her Memorial Service at Hays Hills Baptist Church, in Buda Texas on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at 10:30am.
