Accept the Crumbs and God will make Loaves
It’s amazing how sometimes we think that God owes us so much more than we deserve.
We possess bigger homes, better jobs, bigger cars and even more money. How is it, that we fall short of seeing the smaller, but yet the greatest blessings right before our very eyes?
A remarkable story is told in Matthew 15:21-28 when the Canaanite woman pours from her needy soul in desperation of her demon possessed daughter.
She wasn’t searching for the finer things of life, but she was searching for a man who could provide her with what she needed most. Falling upon her knees, she cries out with an urgent plea,” Have mercy on me Oh Lord.” “Help me,” she said. “You are my only hope!”
After ignoring her for a time, Jesus finally speaks to her in a term that sounds offensive. “It is not right to take the children’s (Jews) crumbs and toss it to the dogs (Gentiles).” Yes Lord, she replied, “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”
This pagan woman should be noted for her incredible faith and her great humbleness. --- She gladly accepts the crumbs and her daughter is instantly healed.
My friend, do you have everything that you need?
In reality, His crumbs are all that you need. For many, crumbs are considered leftovers, but to those who are really desperate will understand that God is the master of the table and He can take the leftovers and provide everything that you need.
So what will you do with the crumbs?
Will you refuse them and let them fall by the wayside, or will you accept them and let God turn them into loaves?
