James D. “Pa” Faulkner, age 93, of Hot Springs, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018.
He was born on January 22, 1925 in Alpine the son of Claude D. Faulkner and Maude Duce Faulkner. On June 2, 1952, he married Johnnie Larson. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and two sisters.
James was a 23-year veteran of the United States Army and served in the European Theater during World War II. After retiring from the Army, he worked in construction as a carpenter. James was a charter member of Grace Bible Church in Hot Springs.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Johnnie Faulkner; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Mark Faulkner and Daniel K. and Jessica Faulkner; one daughter and son-in-law, Snoda and William Giggleman; four grandchildren, James Faulkner, Andrew Giggleman, Jericha Faulkner and Mary Helen Faulkner; two great-grandchildren, Brian Faulkner and Samantha Teague; one sister and brother-in-law, Sallie and Bill Roberts; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of wonderful friends.
Chapel services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 15, 2018 in the Alpine Cemetery on Center Ridge Road with Pastor Mark Goad officiating.
Graveside military honors will be provided by the Thaddeus H. Caraway, V.F.W. Post #2278 Honor Guard.
