With the 2010 Clark County Fair just around the corner, those seeking to join in on the parade that will kick off the week-long event are invited to enter a float or vehicle.
All businesses, youth groups, teams and organizations are welcome and encouraged to “to take this opportunity to let the people of Clark County know about their businesses or organization,” said Blake Batson, fair parade coordinator.
This year’s theme is “Rocking at the Fair.”
There is no entry fee. Prizes will be awarded to the best entries in the following categories: Youth, Commercial, Adult and Overall Best.
The parade will begin Monday, Sept. 13, around 5 p.m. It will start at 12th and Main streets, and the procession will continue east from Main to Fourth Street. Lineup will begin on Main Street between 12th and 15th streets.
For more information about the parade, call Batson or Heather Smith at 246-9868.
The Clark County Fair will be held at the fairgrounds, beginning immediately following the parade. Events will continue until Saturday, Sept. 18.
The Siftings will have more information on the fair over coming days.
