There will be runoffs in three justice of the peace races in Clark County, according to results posted by the Clark County Clerk.
Incumbent E.B. Green took 40 percent of the 512 votes for JP District 7, over Arthur Tippin’s 30 percent and Max Brown’s 29 percent. Green and Tippin will face off again in a June 8 runoff.
Incumbent Vickie Smithpeters beat challenger Diana Leeper by 11 of the 297 total votes cast in District 9.
Sherry Kelley took 45 percent of the 503 votes for JP District 10, over Rita Roe’s 29 percent and Terry Hughes’ 25 percent. Kelley and Roe are still in the race.
The JP 10 seat was vacated earlier this year when long-time Justice Frances McGill retired.
Kris Treadway led the race for JP District 11 with 40 percent of the 427 votes cast there, over Jason Jackson’s 39 percent and incumbent Penny Ross’ 20 percent. Treadway and Jackson are still in the race.
The Caddo Township constable race will also include a runoff between Benny Arnold and Chance Leamons.
