Unofficial results for the Democratic Primary in Clark County have been reported with an upset in the county's race for sheriff. Challenger Jason Watson won out over incumbent David Turner. In the Clark County Judge's race, incumbent Ron Daniell held his seat against challenger Doug Nelson. Daniell will face Independent candidate Ray Smith in the general election in November.
The county will have several runoffs, including the seat for Justice of the Peace District 10. Sherry Kelley will face Rita Roe in that election, neither winning a clear majority over the third candidate, Terry Hughes.
In JP District 7, E.B. Green and A. Tippin split the vote and will face off in the runoff. In JP 11, Kris Treadway and Jason Jackson will face off in the runoff. Vickie Smithpeters took a majority in JP District 9.
In Caddo Valley, voters approved a tax for a water treatment plant with 70 voting for the tax and 63 voters opposing it.
