GURDON - Jessieville scored seven runs in the first two innings and added five more to defeat the Gurdon Go-Devils 12-1 last Friday in Gurdon.
Jessieville opened the game with three runs in the top of the first inning. Dillon Reece singled to right field for Gurdon in the bottom of the first inning with one out and scored on a wild pitch before the inning ended to cut the Jessieville lead to 3-1.
Jessieville added another run in the top of the second inning to lead 4-1. In the bottom half of the inning, Garret White singled to right field for Gurdon, but was left stranded at first base.
Jessieville added three more runs in the top of the third inning to go up 7-1 on the Go-Devils.
Austin Tayor walked for Gurdon in the bottom half of the third, but could not advance with Jessieville getting two strike outs and a pop fly to second base.
After a scoreless fifth inning, Jessievlle added two more runs in the sixth inning and finished out the game with three more runs in the top of the seventh.
