Dartha Sue Wade, 87, of Arkadelphia passed from this life on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at Baptist Health Medical Center, in Arkadelphia.
She was born May 23, 1923 in Okolona, the daughter of the late George and Josie Childers Jones. Sue was a homemaker, a seamstress and manager of a fabric store early in her career. She was a member of the Christian Church and preceded in death by her husband Freddie Wade, two brothers J.W. Jones & Willie Jones, and two sisters Imogene Fallen & Bessie Varnell.
Sue is survived by one sister Jackie Faye Smith of Camden; one brother Arkie Jones of Texarkana, Texas; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday, June 4, at Welch Funeral Home with Rev. Ellis Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
