Elvin V. McClure, age 82, of Alpine died Saturday June 5, 2010, in Arkadelphia.
He was born Jan. 1, 1928, in Clark County the son of Roy E. and Desser Harper McClure. He was a retired truck driver for Bean Trucking, a Navy Veteran of WWII and a member of the Chalybeate Valley Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one brother Gilbert McClure and one sister Mae Dell Nutt.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years Vernell Hill McClure; one daughter Patricia Hooten of Alpine; and one nephew, Jackie Nutt of Grapevine, Texas.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday in the Chalybeate Valley Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Melvin Markham and Brother Bobby Brewer officiating.
