Nannie Mae Chism Stueart, 87, of Prescott, died Jan. 8, 2010, in Prescott.
She was born Nov. 28, 1922, in Hempstead County, to William Linzy and Lillie Mae Flowers Chism. She was a member of the North Beach Baptist Church, an avid cake decorator, a seamstress and loved fishing and flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gillie Milton; one son, Jimmy Milton Stueart; one grandson, Richard L. Hastings; one sister, Gerturte Scott; four brothers, Brad, Doug, Guy and Jim and one son-in-law, Red Cross.
Her survivors include two daughters, Betty Cross of Laneburg and Gloria Hastings and husband Jim of Little Rock; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren and twenty great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was held Monday, Jan. 11, at 2 p.m. at New Salem Cemetery in Laneburg, with Benny Greer and Donald Coon officiating, under the direction of Pharr Funeral Home of Prescott.
Visitation was Sunday, Jan. 10, at the Pharr Funeral Home of Prescott, from 2-4 p.m.
The service was under the direction of Pharr Funeral Home of Prescott.
