Horace G. Matthews, 81, of Donaldson, passed away Thursday June 17, 2010.
Horace was born Oct. 31, 1928, in Donaldson, to the late Connor “Sam” and Ressie Matthews. He was a member and Deacon of Friendship Missionary Baptist church. Horace also served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Horace is survived by his Wife of 55 years, Murel Matthews; and one son, Horace Matthews of Donaldson.
Horace was preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn and Granville Matthews; three sisters, CG Borke, Katherine Chandler and Patsy Jackson
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 21, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
