Mrs. Sybil L. Gautsche Sherman, 87, of Benton, formerly of Prescott, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton.
She was born on Dec. 7, 1922, in Laneburg, to Samuel and Kieffer Glass Gautsche. She was a retired legal secretary. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin Sherman; one brother, Sam Gautsche and three sisters, Dorothy Abel, Bobbie Gautsche and Shirley Keen.
Her survivors include one daughter, Polly Caldwell and Joe of Benton; one grandson, Scott Caldwell and Kristen of Rogers; one great-granddaughter, Lily Catherine Caldwell of Rogers and other relatives and friends.
The grave side service was at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 15, at Laneburg Cemetery in Laneburg, with Rev. Jerry Westmoreland officiating. The burial followed. The arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
