T. W. (Bill) McMaster, 85, of Arkadelphia, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, in Little Rock.
He was born on March 4, 1924 in Okolona, the son of the late Thomas Monroe and Mecie Lisenby McMaster. Bill was a retired heavy equipment operator, a U. S. Marine veteran of WW II, and a member of Okolona United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Carol Rushing McMaster; two sons, Larry McMaster and wife, Kathy of Aztec, New Mexico; Jerry McMaster and wife, Debra of Hope; one daughter, Linda Brown of College Station, Texas; three brothers, Kenneth McMaster and Tommy McMaster both of Longview, Texas and Johnny McMaster of Jacksonville; two sisters, Nina Smith of Henderson, Texas and Joyce Golden of Okolona; four grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and a special pet, Benjie.
The funeral service was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Wilkins officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Okolona Cemetery in Okolona. Visitation was from6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at the funeral home.
