Virgil Pickett, 76, of Camden, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at the Ouachita County Medical Center.
He was a member of Sylvian Hills Baptist Church and was a veteran of the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Maggie Lenora Pickett; brothers, Ed and Ray Pickett and one sister, Annette McCollum.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Louise Pickett of Camden; brothers, Randy Pickett of Alabama, Willie Pickett of New Orleans, La. and Marvin Frisby of Strong; sons, Kurt and Robert Pickett; grandchildren, Darryl Pickett and wife Crystal of Prescott and Amber Morrison and husband Nick of Gum Springs.
The funeral service was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at Sylvian Hills Baptist Church with burial in Mt. Horeb Cemetery. Bro. Carl Hart officiated the service.
