Richard Kutschall, 84, of Fort Smith passed from this life June 23, 2018, in Fort Smith. He was born Aug. 12, 1933, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Vincent and Elizabeth Keipp Kutschall. Richard was a retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army, having served in Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
Richard was preceded in death by a son, David Kutschall.
Richard is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kathleen; daughter and son-in-law, Kerry and Mark Nolte; daughter-in-law, Theresa Kutschall; five grandchildren, Jake (Ashley) Nolte, Jordan Nolte, Madylen Davis (Brett) and Paige and Parker Kutschall; one great-grandchild, Bear Davis; and two sisters, Mary Cashell and Dottie Holmes.
Private graveside service will be held at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith with U.S. Army honors. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church. Service is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
