Fayrene Stringer of Waldron passed from this life June 21, 2018, at the age of 83 years. She was born April 22, 1935, in Waldron to the late Jess and Versie (Sparks) Dedmon. She loved her church and was a member of Haw Creek Baptist Church.

Fayrene had many interests in her lifetime. She loved gardening, art, traveling and taking photographs. She worked for the ASCS office her entire adult life and was a farmers and cattlemen's advocate. Fayrene enjoyed her Bible studies and working with the church youth. She loved to see young people in the church. Fayrene was involved in many organizations and worked tirelessly in them. She could always be counted on to bring baked goods or a jar of jelly to be auctioned off. She loved her family and was extremely proud of them.

She leaves behind one son, Michael and his wife, Dawnda of Waldron; one grandson, Eli Stringer and his wife, Christina of Fort Smith; three great-grandsons, Alex Stringer, Kaston Stringer, Sawyer Stringer; two brothers, Bob Dedmon of Waldron, Bill Dedmon of Waldron; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of close family. She also leaves behind an untold number of friends.

Fayrene is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Stringer; and her parents.

Visitation was 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron. The family received friends from 2-5 p.m.

Funeral will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Haw Creek Baptist Church the with the Rev. John Elmore officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pearson Cemetery under the direction of Martin Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Eli Stringer, Todd Dedmon, Bud Sims, Byron "Buzz" Sigman, Nathan Sims and Johnny Johnson.
