Central Arkansas Development Council will distribute USDA commodities Tuesday, July 20th and Wednesday, July 21st in Saline, Pike, and Montgomery counties. Identification must be presented in order to receive commodities.
Saline County’s distributions will take place from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and Noon to 3 p.m. at the CADC Benton Senior Activity Center at 210 Jefferson St. and the CADC Bryant Senior Activity Center at 702 SW Fourth St.
Pike County’s distributions will take place from 8:30 to 11 a.m. and Noon to 3 p.m. at the CADC Glenwood Senior Activity Center at 229 Betty St. and from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 3 p.m. at the CADC Murfreesboro Senior Activity Center at 120 E. Court St., Ste. A.
Montgomery County’s distribution will take place from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 3 p.m. at the CADC Mt. Ida Senior Activity Center at 158 Senior Dr.
Commodities will be distributed in Clark and Hot Spring counties Thursday, July 22nd and Friday, July 23rd.
Clark County’s distributions will take place from 8:30 to 11 a.m. and Noon to 3 p.m. at the CADC Gurdon Senior Activity Center at 410 E. Main St. and from 8:30 to 11 a.m. and 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the CADC Arkadelphia Senior Activity Center at 1311 N. 10th St. (Hwy 67 North).
Hot Spring County’s distribution will take place from 8 to 11 a.m. and Noon to 3 p.m. at the CADC Malvern Senior Activity Center at 1800 W. Moline St.
The food items to be distributed may include green beans, potato slices, spaghetti sauce, orange juice, beef stew, pinto beans, dry milk, macaroni, mushroom soup and cheddar cheese.
To be eligible to receive USDA commodities, income guidelines must be met. The income guidelines for this program are based on 130% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Based on these guidelines, a one person household must make less than $14,079 per year to qualify for this program. For each additional family member, add $4,682 to the yearly income to determine eligibility.
