A Place of Preparation
Have you ever found yourself in a place where you didn’t necessarily want to be?
Often times when God wants to take us from where we are, to where He wants us to be, He’ll place us in certain situations that will truly test our faith. He rarely takes us to where He wants us to be without training, correcting and discipline. He takes the good and the bad, the ups and downs, and teaches us valuable lessons while preparing us for something greater.
If you were to ask Moses how God prepared him to become a great leader, he would remind you of his trials with Pharaoh and the times of testing in the wilderness.
If you were to ask Joseph, he would most likely refer back to his years as a slave, and his years of wrongful accusations and betrayals.
If you could talk to David he would point you back to his many years of battle and his courage to endure the jealously of King Saul.
Yes, you are where you are today for a greater purpose. You may not like it and it may not seem fair. And the more you fight against it, the longer the process will take; which could take months and even years.
But on the other hand, if you keep the right attitude, in the end you will come out much stronger and better than you were before. . .So, yield to God’s plan and enjoy where you are while you are on the way to where He’s taking you.
“No training, correction, or discipline seems pleasant at the time it is being administered to us, “but afterwards” we come to appreciate it” (Hebrews 12:11).
