Delbert Wetherington age 81 of Malvern passed away July 20, 2018.
He was born November 6, 1936 in Arkadelphia to the late Cecil George and Lula Taylor Wetherington. Delbert and his wife Mary owned Farm and Ranch Supply for over 25 years. Later he was a salesman selling tractors, motorcycles and rv’s. Delbert was an avid hunter and fisherman and a member of Hasley Hunting Club. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Delbert was a people person and never meet a stranger. He was of the Baptist faith and a Veteran of the Army National Guard.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his in-laws Wiley and Dixie Webb, brother in laws, Richard Webb, Robert Webb, Wayne Webb, and two furry friends Lucky and Bandit.
Survivors include his wife Mary Webb Wetherington to whom he married on October 2, 1959, daughters: Debra Bittles (Joe), and Dee Burnett (Craig) all of Malvern, grandchildren, Brandi Bittles Smith (Matt), Blake Bittles, Jett Burnett (Kayla) Jace “Roo” Burnett, great grandchildren, Madysn and Lane Smith, Lainee and Maddon Burnett, Ayden and Bentley Bittles and Kayleigh Draper, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.
Visitation was held Monday, July 23, from 6-8 p.m. at Regency Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 24, 10:00 a.m. Regency Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wade Overturf officiating. Honorary pallbearers, Bobby Williams, Joe Thompson, James Welcher, Frank Duncan, Charles Thomas Hollingshead and members of the Hasley Hunting Club. Burial was in Gilchrist Cemetery in Friendship. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Charity of your choice.
