A Muldrow man has been sentenced to prison for trying to have sex with minors.

Michael Aaron Campbell, 21, of Muldrow was sentenced to 10 years in prison and five years supervised release for two counts of enticement of a minor using a facility of interstate commerce. The charges stemmed from a joint investigation by Homeland Security and the Muldrow Police Department, a news release from the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma states.

Campbell's indictment alleges that, in June and July 2017, he used the internet to try to persuade, induce and entice a person he believed to be under 16 to have sex with him. He allegedly tried to do the same to a second person who he believed to be under 14 via cellphone in June 2017, the release states.

Campbell pleaded guilty to both counts Jan. 22, the release states.
