Gov. Asa Hutchinson has announced his intention to grant clemency to a Sebastian County woman.

Hutchinson announced his intent to grant clemency to Rebecca J. Herman of Mansfield on Friday. Herman was convicted of felony theft of property in 1995 in Logan County, according to a news release from the Governor's Office.

Hutchinson decided to grant Herman clemency because she had completed all terms of her sentence and did not break any laws since her sentence in 1995. Law enforcement officials did not bring any objections against the application, the release states.

Herman was one of 11 Arkansans who Hutchinson announced intent to grant clemency Friday. The Arkansans "have completed all jail time, fulfilled all parole and probationary requirements and paid all fines related to their sentences," the release states.

Herman will officially be granted clemency if Hutchinson does not bring any actions against the decision during the 30-day waiting period, the release states.
