The regular winter low-income home energy assistance program (LiHEAP) will close April 13 but people with utilities in danger of being disconnected or propane tanks about to run dry can still seek help.

“We will continue to operate the crisis program until further notice,” Community Action Program for Central Arkansas (CAPCA) officials said in a news release.

The crisis program is specifically for applicants who have propane tanks at 10 percent or less or those who have a shut-off notice on their electric or gas utilities.
