The Arkansas Prosecuting Attorneys Association has a new president for its board of directors and he is from Clark County.

The Arkansas Prosecuting Attorneys Association has a new president for its board of directors and he is from Clark County.
Blake Batson, prosecuting attorney for the Ninth Judicial District-East, was announced on Jan. 2 as president for the 2018 board.
“It is an honor and very humbling to be elected as president by my peers,” said Batson on the morning of the announcement.
Batson has served on the board for the past few years, previously holding the vice president post.
“I am eager to continue to work with the other elected prosecutors to promote the administration of justice not only in Clark County but throughout Arkansas,” Batson said.
Eleventh Judicial District-West Prosecutor Kyle Hunter and Second Judicial District Prosecutor Scott Ellington will serve as vice-president and secretary-treasurer, respectively. Other members include Daniel Shue, of the Twelfth Judicial District; Teresa Howell, of the Seventh District; Matt Durrett, of the Fourth District; Nathan Smith, of the 19th District-West; and Tom Tatum II, of the Fifteenth District.
