The Bismarck Lady Lions needed an extra four minutes to defeat the Gurdon Lady Go-Devils 61-60 Friday night in Gurdon.
The Lady Go-Devils outscored the Lady Lions 18-5 to take a 13 point lead at the end of the first quarter of play, but Bismarck racked up 17 points in the second quarter compared to 12 points by Gurdon as the Lady Go-Devils held on to a 30-22 halftime lead.
Gurdon outscored Bismarck 18-15 in the third quarter. However, the Lady Lions outscored the Lady Go-Devils 19-8 in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime.
Bismarck made five out of 10 free throws during the extra period. The Lady Lions recovered a missed a layup by the Lady Go-Devils with two seconds to secure the game.
Desaha Ivory led the Lady Go-Devils with 19 points, while Michaela Mayfield finished with 17 points, Shayla Anna with 12 and Kira Accor with 10.
For Bismarck, Haley Vincent finished with 21, while McKenzie Efird had 10.
