Clark County experienced a slight decline its unemployment rate for the month of September.
According to statistics provided by the Arkansas Department of Workforce, the unemployment rate for Clark County for the month of September was 3.4 percent. The unemployment rate for August was 3.8 percent, while an unemployment rate of 4.5 percent was reported for July.
Clark County had a civilian labor force of 9,903. The labor force was 9,672 for August and 9,586 for July.
Of the September labor force, 9,563 people were employed, while 340 people were unemployed. A civilian labor force of 9,514 and an unemployment rate of 4.4 percent was reported for September 2016.

Seasonally adjusted statistics for the state show there were 48,635 people unemployed out of a labor force of 1,379,610 for an unemployment rate of 3.5 percent. The percentage is identical to the August unemployment rate, and slightly up from 3.4 percent in July.
The national unemployment rate for September was 4.1 percent. The percentage is down from 4.5 percent in August and 4.6 percent in July.
