Pamela Kathleen (Blackmon) Bailey of Richmond, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017, surrounded by family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband Craig; her two beautiful daughters Irene and Lucy; her parents, Kenneth and Lillian Blackmon (Arkadelphia); her aunt, Lillian Crenshaw (Baltimore, Maryland); her uncle, John Kappan (Streetsboro, Ohio); her cousin, Patricia Ditto (St. Petersburg, Florida); and her cousins Janice Kappan and Michael Kappan (Streetsboro, Ohio). Pam is also survived by two sisters - Stephanie, husband Cameron Phillips, and daughter Sophie (Little Rock); and Cynthia, husband Steveland McSwain and daughter Ziva (Greensboro, North Carolina).
A great and true friend herself, with an easy laugh and a heartfelt smile, Pam made lifelong friends wherever she went. She received her Master’s at Hellenic College Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology and made many lifelong friends there. She was an active and dedicated member at St. Andrews Orthodox Church in Ashland, Virginia.
Pam was deeply passionate about education, and had been pursuing licensing so that she could return to teaching. She loved to read mysteries - in particular, anything by Agatha Christie - and doted on the family dog, Candy. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral service were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 14 at St. Andrews Orthodox Church in Ashland, Virginia.
