You’ve messed with the Wrong One Baby
“You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.” (Genesis 50:20) These are the words of Joseph, who was thrown in the pit by his brothers, and from the pit he went straight to being a slave. He was later imprisoned for a crime he didn’t commit. And for years he suffered untold misery at the hands of cruel and unjust people, yet his heart remained pure.
I would like to say that Joseph was not a man to be messed with. Though he endured much, God had his back, and God blessed him in everything he done. When the process was finished, God rewarded him by making him prime minister over all the land of Egypt. Joseph became ruler over his own enemy.
You may realize that Joseph’s life was not unusual. You too have dealt with your own pits of life. However, Psalms 40 says, “When you wait patiently for the Lord, He will incline to you and hear your cry; He will lift you up out of the pit and set your feet upon a rock to make your footsteps firm.”
Joseph’s life is so encouraging to me and I hope it is encouraging to you as well. His life of testimonies confirms, that it doesn’t matter how deep we are in the pit. If we keep trusting in our Lord and Savior, He will keep us in perfect peace, giving us the strength to triumph over all.
As a child of God, He has given you the power to reign over your enemy while preparing you for an expected end. What the enemy meant for evil in your life God will turned it around for your good.
My dear friend, you are strong, you are courageous; you are God’s mighty warrior. So when the enemy comes again to cast you in the pit, tell him; “You’ve messed with the wrong one baby.”
