Mrs. Iris “Tot” Harris Bateman, 75, of Prescott, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, at her home.
She was born on Dec. 17, 1934, in Prescott, to Grady and Clara James Harris. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Prescott Church of Christ, an artist and gardener and former member of the Prescott Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Dale and Ivan Harris.
Her survivors include her husband of 57 years, Cliff Bateman of Prescott; two daughters, Kristi Latshaw and James of Fulton and Tina Bateman of Austin, Texas; one son, Jimmy Bateman and Tanya Rogers of Prescott; one sister, Doris McDougald of Jackson, Miss. and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 12, at Prescott Church of Christ in Prescott, with Mr. Harley Sisson officiating. A private family burial after the funeral was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott.
