North Pulaski took the early lead, putting up 17 in the first period while holding the Devils to 10. The Falcons then added 14 for a 21-18 lead at the half.
Gurdon picked up steam after the break, winning the third and fourth stanzas. The Devils put up 15 in the third to cut the lead to 45-33, and they dominated the final period, holding the ‘home’ team to four while putting up 17 for the 50-49 final.
Ed Hood led the team with 13 points, and Juan Williams and Dion Hawthorne added 11.
Other scorers included Ladarron Johnson with seven, Damond Threadgill with three, A.J. Brown and Taquan Ivory with two and Austin Kirkpatrick with one.
The Devils will be in action Thursday night at Horatio. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m.
