The Fort Smith Public Library, 3201 Rogers Ave., will host two free film screenings in the coming days.
First up is Teen Lounge — "Thor: Ragnarok" at 3:30 p.m. Monday. Supplies will be provided to make your own Mjolnir while enjoying the movie.
Second, Is Doc Night — "Faces Places" at 6 p.m. Tuesday. This 2017 documentary pairing a filmmaker and amuralist/photographer for a working trip through the French countryside.

Enjoy family event in Sallisaw
Sallisaw Main Street Inc. will host its Hot Pickin' Finger Lickin' BBQ Cookoff and Band Fest from 7-9 p.m. April 27 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 28 in Sallisaw. The event will include the barbecue cooking contest, barbecue taster kits and Indian tacos for sale, a pop up market with local vendors, a free family fun zone with games and inflatables and live music by Haulin' Oats, 6' Under, HiFi Hillbillies and Katelyn Myers. Proceeds from the event go directly toward the restoration and renovation of the Sallisaw Main Street district.
Tickets on sale for eARTH festival
The Botanical Garden of the Ozarks and Arts Live Theatre will host the eARTH Theatre Festival from 4-7 p.m. April 28 at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks, 4703 N. Crossover Road in Fayetteville. The family friendly event includes four plays — "Peter Pan," "The Wizard of Oz," :The Jungle Book" and "The Secret Garden" — as well as food and drinks available for purchase.
Advance tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for children ages 3-13 and free for children younger than 3. Tickets at the gate will be $15 and $10. Rain date is 4-7 p.m. April 29. Visit www.bgozarks.org for information or to purchase advance tickets.
Trombonist coming to WAC
Award-winning jazz trombonist and Oklahoma native Conrad Herwig will perform with an ensemble at 7:30 p.m. April 28 at the Walton Arts Center, 495 W. Dickson St. in Fayetteville. Tickets begin at $30.
Herwig also will perform with The Northwest Arkansas Jazz All-Stars Youth Ensemble at 7 p.m. April 30 at the Walton Arts Center. Tickets for this event begin at $15.
