God is able to lead us.

Waddle, waddle, waddle — the 10 little ducklings slowly crossed the graveled country road single-file behind the Momma Mallard. When the parade was passed, the stopped yellow school bus motored forward another 20 feet to pick me up and carry me to school. I was probably about 11 years old at the time. This visual memory lends clear meaning to me of the common expression of “getting all your ducks in a row.” When we get control of ourselves or the details of daily life or of some specific project, it can be said that we’ve “got all our ducks in a row.”
Sometimes our life seems to get totally out of control. Masses of details conglomerate our consciousness so that confusion clouds the vision and clear thinking eludes us. We are just going around in circles. The ducks are not in an orderly row! It’s time for us to “quack” the whip! What can we do!?!
When the little ducklings are scattered, frantically waddling around in circles with Momma Duck out of view, they open their flat little beaks and “Peep, peep, peep!!!” they loudly call out to Momma Duck! Lesson One: Call on Jesus! “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13). This is good for eternal salvation and it is good for daily organization. The Lord does not condemn us for our self-made mess. He wants to help us, and he will if we just give him place in our life.
When Momma Duck hears the little ducklings cry, she quickly comes with protective earnestness and consoles and instructs, chattering excitedly. Then with the once-distressed ducklings gathered together, Momma Duck leads the way for each to follow, one-by-one, single file to the Duck-chosen destination. Lesson Two: Follow the leading of the Lord! Focus on one thing at a time, deal with it, get it done, then go the next thing - straight line. God will help us get all our ducks in a row if we will call upon him and follow his leading step-by-step. He will help us get things lined up in proper order. Call upon him then follow his leading. He will lead you in “every good path,” profitable in every way.
