Two of the three area high schools are undefeated as they go into conference action Friday night.

The Arkadelphia Badgers are 3-0 after defeating a pair of 6A/7A teams and one 5A Southwest team.

Arkadelphia defeated Benton 42-28 in Week 1, and they took care of Sheridan 48-22 in Week 2.

The Badgers also wasted no time in knocking down Hot Springs Friday night, 38-14.

They will face the Nashville Scrappers Friday night at 7:30 p.m. on the road.

The Gurdon Go-Devils are also 3-0, sitting on top of the 7-2A conference as the only undefeated team.

The Devils took a 40-34 win over the Prescott Curley Wolves to start the season, and they then went on to defeat the Benton Harmony Grove Cardinals

41-8.

Last week, the Devils thrashed the Marked Tree Indians 52-6 at HSU.

The Devils will be hosting Dierks Friday night at 7 p.m.

The Bismarck Lions have struggled this season, falling to 0-3.

The team fell 52-30 to Murfreesboro in Week 1, and Dierks cut them down, 49-8, in Week 2.

The Lions fell 34-13 Monday night at home to the Cutter Morning Star Eagles.

The team will be on the road this week, traveling to Jessieville to face the Lions at 7 p.m.
