Mitchell Austin, 64, of Gurdon passed away Nov. 27, 2011, at his home. 

He was born Jan. 22, 1947, in Malvern the son of Eustuce and Alma (Davis) Austin. He was a retired owner/manager of a grocery store and was of the Baptist faith. Mitchell loved to hunt, fish and play golf. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Preceding him in death are his parents; brothers, Dan Austin, Tony Austin and wife, Glenda; and nephew, Danny Austin.
Survivors are his companion, Sheryl Gardner; son, Dax Austin and wife, Taylor of Alaska; daughters, Marnie Lumb and husband, John of Morristown, Tenn., Hollie Wooldridge and husband, Brian of Franklin, Tenn.; brother, Gary Austin and wife, Teresa of Poyen; sister, Rosemary Guin and husband, C.E. of Magnet Cove; and grandchildren, Britany, Langston and Bryleigh.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 29 from 6-8 p.m., at Regency Funeral Home in Malvern.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, Nov. 30, at Damascus Cemetery near Malvern with Brother Todd Easterling officiating.
Pallbearers are Steve Austin, Burt Austin, Brad Austin, Gary Austin Jr., Robert Austin and Jason Warren. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Banks and Jimmy Hicks.
Memorials may be made to the Damascus Cemetery Association.
